It’s right along the famous Sukhumvit Road, just past Jomtien. The Pattaya Floating Market is was created around 2008 and was set up mainly for tourists, but honestly, it’s still totally worth checking out. They designed it to look like any of the many traditional floating markets around the country.

You’ll find loads of little shops selling souvenirs from all over Thailand, plus plenty of places to grab some tasty Thai food. The market has become a popular spot for visitors from Pattaya, and you can visit as part of a tour or just get there easily by public transport.

Despite the name, the shops aren’t actually floating on the water. Instead, they’re built on stilts above the water, and you walk along paths that are set up over the water. It’s a cool experience and definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area! If you wish you can rent a boat to go around over the water.

Location

Pattaya Floating Market: A Fun Spot for Tourists Did you know Pattaya has its own floating market?
