While planning to visit the Chiang Dao region we decided to also spend the night in this area. We were looking for a quiet, relaxing place that sits in a green valley away from the busy streets. With Cherpue Chiangmai we found the perfect place. It is away from the main road or even main valleys. But is worth to do the extra distance.
Cherpue Chiangmai are three beautiful bungalows on one of the green hills. Each bungalow is spacious and has all ammenities to make your stay comfortable. Relax on the balcony while overlooking the valley. That same balcony also includes a big size jacuzzi.
You can order food in and recently the famous หมูกระทะ moo kra ta is popular. While enjoying the cooler temperatures in the evening on the balcony you can have this hot pot style food. Delicious! It comes all cut and ready to cook it yourself on your table. Breakfast is also served in your room.
To get here you need to arrange you own transport by getting a taxi or get your own rental car. We did the last and the drive here was actually enjoyable. It is about 65 km north of Chiang Mai so it doesn’t take too much time to get there.
In the area, on the other hills of the valley there are various other accommodations available as well.
If you enjoy the wildlife, especially birds, you can enjoy some local species while relaxing on your balcony. They kept us company all day.
